Heroes, Inc

I recently lensed a short piece for Heroes, Inc. directed by Stan Schofield (Schofield Films).  It was a real privilege to work on this project.  The organization of Heroes, Inc. helps the families of first responders (firemen, police, etc) from the DC Metro area killed in the line of duty.  Working with Stan was great, he is a talented Director and creates a very friendly atmosphere on set.  We shot for 5 days in Washington, DC.  I shot with a Sony EX-1 using a Brevis 35mm lens adapter with Nikon lenses.

Hood Mounts for Seagal Series

Here are some pics from the Seagal Shoot

Back with Seagal

I headed back down to New Orleans to shoot the remaining episodes for Stevean Seagal:  Lawman.  We had several pickups to shoot.  I rigged 2 cameras on the exterior of our crime-fighting SUV (aka Big Silver).  The cameras were the Sony Z7U and we used a variety of suction cup mounts, cardellinis, and c-stand parts.  On the inside of the car we rigged an Iconix camera recording 1080i to a Panasonic P2 deck.

CNN HEROES: Pnom Penh, Cambodia

I went with Matt Ogens to film a 2.5 minute piece on Phymean Noun, a nominee for CNN Hero of the year, in Pnom Penh, Cambodia.  Phymean helps children who live, and work, in the trash dump get an education.  She is perhaps their only hope.  I have never experienced anything as sad as this.  It puts so many things into perspective.
